Not bad considering they are the only grocery store in town. Can have good sales. Produce can be good. Need to know your prices when you go.
Typical small town grocery store with not-so-small prices! Inventory is pretty well consistent, but unless it's on sale, buy it only as a last resort. How bought that Miracle Whip? Must be made with gold?!
Went to Lowes to buy some avocados and rice. Being the advertisement had avocados for 89 cents apiece, picked up 20 avocados and rice and proceeded to check out. The total came to $43. I questioned the person checking me out why was the total so high! She said the avocados were $2 apiece. Had her check out the sign. When she came back, told me she had to call the store manager. When he arrived, the checker explained to the manager no one changed the price and are still marked 89 cents. The manager would not admit that it was there mistake and would not sell the avocados for 89 cents apiece. Needless to say,I did not buy the avocados and will do my shopping elsewhere. Dollar General already has Lowes beat when comparing prices. To bad Dollar General have not started stocking produce.
